Step 3: GDFS BACKING UP / RESTORING - VERY IMPORTANT!

GDFS BACKING UP might save you when you do some mistake and "kill" your phone .

YOU MUST SAVE (BACKUP ) YOUR GDFS BEFORE STARTING TO MOD OR FLASH YOUR PHONE
  • With setool2lite
1. Open setool2lite
2. On Phone model choose your phone model
3. close phone and remove phone card and sim card
4. Press READ GDFS not other button ..
6. Plug usb cable holding key "c"
7. WEN PROGRAM WILL REQUEST remove data cable and battery of it, and put them back to the place (holding key "c") and then, press READY.
DONE!!!
YOU WILL FIND YOUR GDFS IN SETOOL FOLDER ( gdfsxxxxxxxxxx.bin )
  • With xs + +3.2
1.Open xs + +
2.turn off the phone and remove phone card and batery from it
3.Press "Connect" (xs + +)
4.Plug data cable holding key "c"
5.Check section of the GDFS bottom right of the program
6.Press BACKUP GDFS
7.wait until these message will appear: disconected, unplug the phone

If you did not bakup your GDFS, the next tutorial it will not be useful.
RESTORING GDFS
  • With setool2lite
1.Open setool2lite
2.On Phone model choose your phone model
3.On misc file choose the GDFS (a file format: gdfs_xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bin, which we found in the folder where you copied setool, if you do back-up with setool)
4.close phone and remove phone card and sim card
5. Pres Write GDFS
6.Plug usb cable holding key "c"
7.WEN PROGRAM WILL REQUEST remove data cable and battery of it, and put them back to the place (holding key "c") and then, press READY.
DONE!!!
  • With xs + +3.2
1.Open xs + +
2.turn off the phone and remove phone card and batery from it
3.Press "Connect" (xs + +)
4.Plug data cable holding key "c"
5.Check section of the GDFS bottom right of the program
6.On GDFS Script put the file format: gdfs_xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bin
7.Press Run script
8.wait until these message will appear: disconected, unplug the phone
